Trouble and Inheritance

11-03-09

Proverbs 11:29
One benefit that is extremely useful in the life of a young person is an inheritance. The resources left behind by the parents are of great value in assisting with life. Perhaps it maybe monetary, a business, a home or other forms of asset; in some cases it may be knowledge, customs values or the wit to survive. The benefits wrapped up in an inheritance come in many forms and the person who is recipient has added gain.

Proverbs show us a way in which an inheritance can be lost. This way is through trouble. The person that brings trouble to his house will lose his inheritance and gain the wind. Many of us can relate to having a relative who just have the knack for getting into trouble. Whether it is through an abusive relationship, alcohol, drugs, bad company or rebellious attitude they know how to bring trouble into the home. This trouble robs us of our sleep, disrupts our daily living, keeps us around the court house or hospital and pushes us into emotional imbalance. The trouble they bring into the home provides the evidence to their inability to handle the inheritance due to them. The troubles they bring renders them unfit to inherit.
